Super Bowl Safety

Are you ready for some football?

This Sunday, is the biggest game of the year, Super Bowl Sunday! Nearly 112.2 million Americans will watch the Super Bowl this year (based on last year’s ratings). 49th Street Bail Bonds wants you to stay safe and out of jail this weekend.

We know many people will be attending a Super Bowl party at a private home or at a bar.

Here are a few tips to stay safe no matter where you watch the Super Bowl:

•Don’t drink and drive.
•Have a designated driver.
•If hosting a party, offer the designated driver incentives such as the best seat in the house.
•Don’t let anyone drive while they are impaired. Take their keys, offer to drive them home, call a ride share service for them, or have them spend the night. Just do not let them behind the wheel.
•Always buckle up when in a vehicle.
•Pace yourself when drinking. Make sure to alternate an alcoholic beverage with a non-alcoholic beverage and eat plenty of food.
•Stay aware when driving home. Others might be driving impaired so put down the phone, don’t text, and be extra vigilant when driving.
•If hosting a party, have activities and door prizes to help reduce alcohol consumption.
• If you plan on watching the game at a bar, then make sure you know where the exits are located.
•Remember that alcohol and emotions can be a dangerous mix. Fights can start between bar patrons due to play in the game, bad mouthing the other team, or even having a person hitting on a member of your party.
