The biggest game of the year, Super Bowl Sunday, is just days away!
Are you planning on hosting a party? Attending a party? Or enjoying the game at a sports bar?
49th Street Bail Bonds wants to make you aware that while Super Bowl Sunday parties can be fun, there can also be hazards and danger. Here are a few tips for Super Bowl Sunday when attending a party:
•If you are attending a party then make sure to have a designated driver.
•Make sure you eat plenty of food and balance alcoholic drinks with non-alcoholic drinks.
•Do not drink and drive!
•Utilize a ride share such as Uber to get home, call a taxi, have a sober friend drive you home, or plan on staying the night if you imbibe in too much alcohol.
•Make sure you buckle up before heading out on the road.
For those hosting a party, follow these tips:
•If you are hosting a party, then make sure to serve plenty of food, offer non-alcoholic drink choices, and don’t serve alcohol to anyone under 21.
•Stop serving alcohol at the 3rd quarter and instead offer desserts and coffee.
•Reward designated drivers with the best seat to watch the game from.
•Offer party activities such as guessing games on what the score will be at the end of each quarter, vote on the best Super Bowl commercials, or have door prizes to keep people occupied.
•Never let anyone drive drunk. Take responsibility and arrange for them to get home safely or offer them a place to sleep for the night.
Planning on watching the game at a sports bar? Follow these tips:
•If you are watching the game at a sports bar then make sure you know where all of the exits are located.
•Be careful with alcohol. Impaired judgement due to alcohol could lead people to do things they normally wouldn’t do.
•Have a designated driver. Do not drink and drive!
•Be aware that tensions can get heated especially when combined with alcohol. A person bad mouthing a player on the other team, a bad call from the ref, or even a person hitting on your significant other can start a fight.
